Here are some potential reasons why someone might prefer a private tattoo studio:
It's important to note that these advantages are subjective and may not apply to everyone. Some individuals may prefer the energy and community vibe of a regular tattoo shop, while others may find the privacy and individualized attention of a private studio more appealing. Ultimately, the best choice depends on the individual's preferences, budget, and the specific qualities they prioritize in their tattoo experience.

Proper aftercare is crucial to ensure your new tattoo heals well and retains its vibrant colors. Here are some general tattoo aftercare instructions:
1. Leave the bandage on for a few hours: Your tattoo artist might cover your fresh tattoo with a sterile bandage or plastic wrap. This helps protect it from dirt and bacteria. Leave it on for the time recommended by your tattoo artist, usually around 2-6 hours.
2. Gently clean the tattoo: After removing the bandage, gently wash your tattoo with lukewarm water and a mild, fragrance-free soap. Use your clean hands, not a washcloth or sponge, to avoid irritation. Pat it dry with a clean, soft towel.
3. Apply an ointment or cream: Using a thin layer of an ointment recommended by your tattoo artist or a dermatologist helps keep the tattoo moisturized and prevents it from drying out and cracking. Avoid using too much ointment, as it can suffocate the tattoo and delay the healing process.
4. Avoid picking and scratching: Do not pick at any scabs or peeling skin that forms over the tattoo. Let the skin naturally exfoliate. Picking can lead to scarring and loss of ink.
5. Moisturize regularly: After the initial healing period (usually a few days), switch to a fragrance-free, non-comedogenic moisturizer to keep the skin hydrated. Apply it several times a day, but don't overdo it.
6. Avoid direct sunlight: Sun exposure can fade your tattoo and increase the risk of complications during the healing process. Keep your tattoo covered or use a broad-spectrum sunscreen with high SPF if you need to be outside.
7. Stay out of water: Avoid swimming in pools, hot tubs, and natural bodies of water until your tattoo is fully healed. Water can introduce bacteria and chemicals that may cause infections or irritation.
8. Wear loose clothing: Tight clothing can rub against your tattoo and cause irritation. Opt for loose, breathable fabrics that won't stick to the tattoo.
9. Avoid strenuous activities: Excessive sweating and friction can negatively affect your healing tattoo. Avoid intense workouts and activities that cause heavy sweating for the first couple of weeks.
10. Follow your artist's advice: Your tattoo artist might have specific aftercare instructions based on their expertise. Follow their guidance, as they know how their work heals best.
11. Attend follow-up appointments: Some tattoo studios might offer follow-up appointments to check the healing progress of your tattoo. Attend these appointments to ensure your tattoo is healing properly.
Remember, everyone's skin is different, so individual healing times can vary. If you notice any signs of infection, excessive pain, or unusual changes in your tattoo during the healing process, contact a medical professional or your tattoo artist for advice.
Client shall consult a health care practitioner at the first sign of infection or an allergic reaction, and report any diagnosed infection, allergic reaction, or adverse reaction resulting from the tattoo to the artist and to the Texas Department of State Health Services, Drugs and Medical Devices Group, at
